OPEN HOUSE - Friday, July 29

Tarbiyah Islamic School of Delaware is arranging an open house on Friday, July 29 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The open house will give the community an opportunity to visit Tarbiyah's new facility, to meet Board Members, Teachers, and to interact with parents and community members inshAllah.

Summer Session II Starts July 29; Newark Police Department Field Trip Report

Tarbiyah Islamic School of Delaware is pleased to announce the start of Summer Educational Program: Session 2 in its new school building at 698 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark DE. The program starts on July 29 and will end on August 25 (Monday to Thursday 10 AM to 2:30 PM). This session 2 features a special focus on Ibadah in Ramadan, Quran memorization (Hifz), Arabic language, Creative writing, Math, Science, Akhlaq and Aqeedah.

Summer session 2 is also a very interactive educational program including a number of opportunities for children to enjoy summer and do Ibadah during Ramadan. Following fun activities are planned for summer 2 in addition to class room educational program:

  1. Fishing and Horseback Riding (July 30)
  2. Children's Homeless Shelter Visit (Aug 3)
  3. Fire Department Visit (Aug 10)
  4. Making Arrangements for Iftar at the Masjid (Aug 14)
  5. Itikaaf (Aug 20)
  6. Eid Preparation (Aug 23)

Tarbiyah School's latest field trip to the Newark Police Department was also a very successful and well attended event - Alhamdulillah.

New Location of Tarbiyah School

Tarbiyah Islamic School of Delaware is moving to its new location soon inshAllah. The building is part of an 8000 sqft purpose built training school/institution with 10 classrooms and state-of-the art technology access, library, kitchen, outdoor play area, and plenty of parking space. The building is very conveniently located at 698 Old Baltimore Pike in Newark, DE.

Camping Trip Report; Next Fieldtrip (Maryland Zoo in Baltimore)

Alhamdolillah we had a wonderful camping trip to Lewisberry, PA and our children loved various aspects of fun activities and tarbiyah at the camp. Setting up tents, fishing, boating, swimming, camp fire, barbecue, grilling and long walks were only part of the fun. Our next fieldtrip is InshAllah scheduled for Saturday July 9 to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. If you are driving, please arrive at the main gate of the Zoo at 10:00 AM. The address is Druid Hill Park, Baltimore, MD 21217 (the zoo does not have a street number). It is about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive. Therefore leave early to reach in time. Free and ample parking is available.

Some families are planning to travel together. If you would rather travel together, please join us at the school inshAllah at 8:00 AM.

The discounted ticket cost is $9.75/adult (12 years and above) and $8.50/child (2-11 years), Free (2 years and under). Please fill out and return the signed copy of the attached waiver form with payment by Thursday (July 7) 2:30 PM at the latest.
